BRP (Bombardier Recreational Products), a Canadian company dedicated to recreational products manufacturing. Besides being recognized as a leader in employment in our region, BRP has decided to continue growing in Ciudad Juarez.
How? With the opening of its new plant, BRP has made a 185 million dollars investment in Chihuahua to develop new buildings and generate new employment in the region.
Also, with this new complex, our state has been the first to invest under the new T-MEC rules.
BRP has begun the construction of its third plant in Juarez and will count with 257 thousand square meters of expansion; this makes it the biggest of the three BPR plants on the border.
With this investment, the Canadian company implemented GREEN building construction. This means that it will be an eco-friendly development and leave a positive impact on the city.
The plant will have interior and exterior LED illumination installation allowing the company to reduce 30% of the energy consumed.
With the opening of the new complex, more than 1000 local people will get employment, and the company will not stop there since they are looking to grow the workforce by the 2023 year, established Jesus Burciaga, Human Resources Director.
Juarez city growth recognizes the people’s talent and gives back to the community their trust, he added.
This plant also looks to pay honor to Chihuahua citizens’ talent. For example, the company directives talked about a mural that will be located in the lunch break area and created by Miguel Valverde Castillo, a well-known artist of Cuauhtemoc’s region.
We will have a mural in the coffee area made by a very recognized artist from Chihuahua. Fortunately, that collaboration will help us give a deeper meaning to what the plant means, and make the people feel more connected with the project, said Onesimo Rámos, part of the Projects Development Department.
Like the two other companies established in the region, this complex will manufacture Can-Am Outlander and Maverick all-terrain vehicles. However, it also will be the home of some fabrication of ‘side by side’ Maverick X3 y X3 MAX.
