During the commercial mission in England and France, Governor Maru Campos set front a historic investment for Chihuahua, with over 380MDD and the creation of 52k new job opportunities.
Chihuahua’s leadership in the aerospace industry takes us to the Farnborough International Airshow, where GKN Aerospace announced an investment of 10MM in 3 projects for high-tech equipment and processes that will allow supplying leading customers in the manufacture of executive aircraft. In addition, a 2MM investment from the Metal Finishing Company was announced, with the creation of 35 high-value jobs.
During day 2 of the FIA 2022, Arnprior Aerospace Inc. announced the expansion of their 75,000ft² facility in Chihuahua, becoming a world-class Manufacturing Center of Excellence in the production of metal components and assemblies for customers around the world.
In the next 5 years, the construction of a new industrial park by the RMSG Real Estate Management and Services Group in Ciudad Juarez, the industrial leader in Chihuahua, will create over 50k new jobs by 2027. This project fosters the attraction of foreign direct investment, the creation of new jobs and best practices towards the environment, society and corporate governance.
In addition, EssilorLuxottica set forth a 133MDD investment in Chihuahua capital. The company will expand their operations in the BAFAR industrial complex, where eyeglasses and frames will be manufactured with the latest technology, by the well-known proficiency of 1700 workers. With the investment of 150 million euros for investigation and development, Essilor Luxottica has ranked first in the “100 most innovative corporations in the world” for 6 years in a row! It fills us with pride to partner with one of the largest owners of ophtalmic and optical licenses in the world, with over 1,500 active patents around the globe.
Last but not least, Malteurop‘s CEO Olivier Hautin announced a 120MDD investment in Meoqui, Chihuahua. This project pursues the growth of the central-southern area of the state, employing up to 68 people. The automated process maximizes the malt production used by the Meoqui plant of HEINEKEN MÉXICO. At maximum capacity, this plant requires up to 35 thousand hectares for malt production.
The unused feedstock and organic residues will present a great opportunity for the livestock producers: they have a high-protein value for cattle feeding. This complements perfectly the economic vocation of the regions of Meoqui, Delicias, Cuauhtemoc, Casas Grandes and Villa Ahumada.
